This exhibition is a direct result of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities' initiative to enhance community involvement in preserving and promoting Bahrain's cultural heritage. The Al Hassan family's generous donation of this collection to the Bahrain National Museum now allows the public to engage directly with these invaluable pieces.
The exhibition specifically features rare artifacts tracing back to the esteemed pearl merchant, Al Tawash Hassan bin Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hassan (1887–1982). These items illuminate the family's significant role in the historical pearl trade and their ongoing efforts to advance Muharraq's cultural and civilizational infrastructure, including their key involvement in founding Al Hedaya Al Khalifiya School in 1919.
