What to Expect
Housed in a beautifully restored traditional Bahraini home in Manama, the foundation seamlessly blends history with modern artistic expression. The building, originally constructed in the 1920s, has undergone careful restoration while preserving its architectural heritage, including original gypsum walls and a central courtyard. The space features multiple galleries displaying works from Rashid Al Khalifa’s extensive collection, along with a contemporary ‘white cube’ extension added in 2020. Visitors can explore a diverse range of exhibitions, engage in discussions on art and culture, and experience the unique atmosphere of a space designed to inspire creativity and dialogue.
To visit the RAK Art Foundation and its collection, you have to request a private tour via the booking system.
