Majlis Siyadi is one of Bahrain’s most distinctive heritage landmarks, standing as a testament to the flourishing pearl-diving era of the 19th century. It is also one of the buildings that belong to the Pearling Path project that is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The majlis originally belonged to the Siyadi family, one of the largest and most prominent families engaged in the pearl trade, known for owning an extensive fleet of pearl-diving vessels at the time. The majlis serves today as an open museum that showcases the artistry and beauty of Arab architecture while reflecting an important chapter in the history of the pearl trade.
The Siyadi complex consists of three interrelated buildings: Siyadi House, a family residence built by Abdullah bin Isa Siyadi; Siyadi Majlis, a second family residence with an impressive guest room built by Ahmad bin Jassim Siyadi; and Siyadi Mosque, donated to the community by Isa and Jassim bin Ahmad Siyadi.
