Established in 1977, the Rashid Equestrian & Horse Racing Club (REHC) is the heart of equestrian sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain. What began as a national racing authority has evolved into a world-class venue that blends sporting excellence, heritage, and modern leisure, making it a must-visit destination for racing enthusiasts, families, and visitors alike.

What to expect

Located in a central area between Riffa and Sakhir, the REHC moved to its current purpose-built site in 1981 to accommodate expanding racing activities and upgraded facilities. The venue now features a full-scale racecourse supported by extensive training tracks, modern stables, and professional equine services. From a 2000-metre sand training track to an equine swimming pool, horse walkers, veterinary support, and dedicated quarantine stables, REHC ensures exceptional care and preparation for both local and international thoroughbreds.

Spectators enjoy a prime view of the action from modern grandstands that overlook both the track and the parade ring. This experience is complemented by family-friendly hospitality areas, such as the popular Turf Village, which offers diverse food, entertainment, and a truly vibrant race-day atmosphere.
