From the versatile Al-Banoush and Al-Shuai, to the mighty owl and mule, these vessels served vital roles in fishing, pearl diving, and transporting goods and passengers across global ports. Areas like Al-Naeem and Ras Al-Rumman in Manama, along with Muharraq's coastal regions, were hubs for these skilled shipwrights, known as ‘Al-Qallaf’.
